SONIC WEAPONS POSITIONED AT TOWN HALL MEETINGS

The Davis Rally drew an estimated 1,300-1,500 people, including vocal conservative and liberal protest groups. Read more
Texas Arson Convictions Under Scrutiny
Their refrain was magnified last month when Dr. Craig Beyler, a nationally respected fire engineer hired by the state to review evidence in two death row cases, issued a withering report that found no scientific basis to classify either fire as an arson. What's more, he methodically outlined about a dozen instances of improper analysis and mistaken conclusions by investigators, saying they relied on folklore about fire and ignored evidence that contradicted their theories. Entrapping the Entrappers
It sure seems that the officers overstepped their bounds in this case. And it appears that they know it; because their first reaction when questioned was to claim that it appears they were “set up to see how they would react to open carry.” Read more
Piggies Piece of the Pie
From the perspective of police departments – not to mention gunmakers – the Obama administration may go down as one of the most gun-friendly in history. TO BE GOVERNED
by Pierre-Joseph Proudhon
To be GOVERNED is to be watched, inspected, spied upon, directed, law-driven, numbered, regulated, enrolled, indoctrinated, preached at, controlled, checked, estimated, valued, censured, commanded, by creatures who have neither the right nor the wisdom nor the virtue to do so. To be GOVERNED is to be at every operation, at every transaction noted, registered, counted, taxed, stamped, measured, numbered, assessed, licensed, authorized, admonished, prevented, forbidden, reformed, corrected, punished. It is, under pretext of public utility, and in the name of the general interest, to be place[d] under contribution, drilled, fleeced, exploited, monopolized, extorted from, squeezed, hoaxed, robbed; then, at the slightest resistance, the first word of complaint, to be repressed, fined, vilified, harassed, hunted down, abused, clubbed, disarmed, bound, choked, imprisoned, judged, condemned, shot, deported, sacrificed, sold, betrayed; and to crown all, mocked, ridiculed, derided, outraged, dishonored. That is government; that is its justice; that is its morality.
