The Obama phenom appears to be waning as Americans continue to see jobs hemorrhaging while Barack Hussein Obama aka Barry Soetoro aka and so forth, attempts to openly shove communism down our throats while destroying free markets and jobs in the process. 'The Great One' has proven in a record short period of time that he's a liar already breaking campaign promises. For those of us who live in the real world and follow these glory seekers parading as "public servants," we have come to expect no less. The two political machines, vote fraud and millions of uninformed, under educated and partisan voters bring the worst into office. Now the chickens have come home to roost and the suffering will continue for years.

Rush to Judgment

Talk show host and conservative icon Rush Limbaugh recently ignited a firestorm of criticism for expressing his desire that Barack Obama should fail. Democrats, and even some Republicans, suggested that he had put aside his patriotism to wish for an economic collapse that would result in political advantage for conservatives. However, if you believe as I, and apparently Rush, that Obama's plans will prevent recovery, then wishing that they fail to become actual policy is the right thing to do. The problem is that since Mr. Limbaugh has a history of partisanship, and since he did not forcefully criticize the Bush Administration for similar (if slightly more modest) plans, many cannot see past the messenger to recognize the truth in the message.

The Groundwork Has Already Been Laid for Martial Law

Thus, the groundwork was laid for an imperial presidency and a potentially totalitarian government--a state of affairs that has not ended with Barack Obama's ascension to the Oval Office, despite hopes to the contrary that President Obama would fully restore the balance between government and its citizens to a pre-Bush status quo. As Charlie Savage reports in the New York Times, "Signs suggest that the administration's changes may turn out to be less sweeping than many had hoped or feared--prompting growing worry among civil liberties groups and a sense of vindication among supporters of Bush-era policies."
